Tree Description

The Green Gable™ Black Gum is an outstanding ornamental shade tree known for its excellent structure, glossy foliage, and spectacular fall color. This improved selection of the native black gum develops a strong central leader and symmetrical pyramidal form, making it a beautiful and dependable landscape tree.

During the growing season, the tree features rich green, glossy leaves that create a clean, refined canopy. In autumn, it becomes one of the most dramatic trees in the landscape, displaying brilliant shades of red, orange, and scarlet that often appear earlier than many other shade trees.

These 15-gallon trees establish quickly and grow into a well-structured ornamental shade tree, making them an excellent choice for lawns, parks, and larger landscape plantings.
