Tree Description

The Edith Bogue Magnolia is one of the most cold-hardy Southern Magnolia varieties, making it an excellent evergreen statement tree for landscapes in central Missouri. This beautiful broadleaf evergreen features large, glossy dark-green leaves and produces huge, fragrant white flowers throughout late spring and summer.

Its upright pyramidal form gives it a classic, elegant appearance that works well as a specimen tree, privacy screen, or evergreen focal point in the landscape. Unlike many southern magnolias, the Edith Bogue variety has proven reliable in colder climates while still delivering the iconic magnolia look.

A 30-gallon tree is already a strong landscape specimen, typically 10-12 feet tall, and will quickly establish and begin filling out into a dense evergreen canopy.
