Tree Description

The Sun Valley Maple is an improved red maple cultivar developed by the U.S. National Arboretum, known for its reliable structure, strong branching, and brilliant fall color. It produces a symmetrical, oval canopy that makes it an excellent shade tree for residential landscapes, streets, and larger yards.

In autumn, Sun Valley Maples develop vivid red foliage that often holds longer than many other maple varieties. Unlike some fast-growing hybrid maples, this tree maintains a strong branch structure and balanced shape, making it a durable long-term landscape tree.

These 15-gallon trees provide a great starting size for planting, establishing quickly and growing into a beautiful shade tree that will add structure and color to the landscape for decades.

Sun Requirements
